All My Loving was written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon-McCartney) and represents one of the first songs by the Beatles where McCartney was the primary writer. McCartney reportedly composed the melody in his head while on a tour with Roy Orbison in the UK in 1963. The lyrics were written while he was on a tour bus. It is notable for being one of the first Beatles songs that wasnt based on McCartneys personal relationships.
