Happier is a collaboration between American DJ and producer Marshmello and British band Bastille. It was written by Marshmello, Dan Smith (the lead vocalist for Bastille), and Steve Mac. The song was released in 2018, and it discusses the complex emotions involved in letting someone go, wishing them happiness even if it means your own sadness.
