Jumpin Jack Flash was inspired by an experience of Keith Richards while he and Mick Jagger were at his Redlands estate. One morning, as Jack Dyer was passing by, Jagger asked who it was, to which Richards responded: Oh, thats Jack - Jumping Jack. The song talks about overcoming hardships and moving forward, with an infectious rock energy.
