Moonshadow is a song by British singer Cat Stevens, included on his album Teaser and the Firecat, released in 1971. Stevens has said that the inspiration for the song came while he was lying in bed in a hotel room in Malaga, Spain, and saw his shadow on the wall cast by the moonlight. The lyrics reflect Stevens philosophy of handling hardship (loss of eyes, legs, mouth, etc.) with hope and optimism.
