Tears in Heaven was written by Eric Clapton together with Will Jennings, following the tragic death of Claptons son Conor, who fell out of a 53rd-floor apartment window in New York City in 1991. The song reflects Claptons grief and loss, questioning whether his son would recognize him in heaven.
