Where Is My Mind? is a song by the American band Pixies. It was written by lead vocalist and guitarist Black Francis while he attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, inspired by his experiences while scuba diving in the Caribbean. The song was influenced by the feeling of being out of place and disoriented he felt while underwater.
With your feet in the air and your head on the ground Try this trick and spin it, yeah Your head will collapse But there's nothing in it And you'll ask yourself
Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Way out in the water, see it swimming.
I was swimmin' in the Caribbean Animals were hiding behind the rock Except the little fish But they told me, he swears Tryin' to talk to me, coy koi
Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Way out in the water, see it swimming.
With your feet in the air and your head on the ground Try this trick and spin it, yeah Your head will collapse But there's nothing in it And you'll ask yourself
Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Where is my mind? Way out in the water, see it swimming.
